Transmission Service typically includes the following services:
- Fluid drained and replaced – Old or dirty transmission fluid is drained and replaced with new clean fluid. A ‘flush’ may be performed if necessary to remove all the old contaminants.
- Filter replaced – The old filter is replaced with a new one. If it is necessary to change the filter, make sure the seals are also replaced.
- Codes and electronics checked – A computer flash can delete out-of-date error codes and driving history. This aids the transmission in “remembering” the driving and shifting preferences of individual drivers.
Transmission Repair is usually needed for the following issues:
- Faulty sensors – Faulty sensors send inaccurate information to the transmission which causes irregular or faulty shifting.
